How the charts work
The Big Hits collects official charts every morning and keeps a copy of each one, day by day, so it can show what moved.

Reading a chart
- Position is exactly what the source publishes. Nothing is estimated, blended or re-ranked.
- ▲ and ▼ show places gained or lost since our previous snapshot, or since the previous week for Netflix.
- New marks a first appearance. Re marks a return after dropping out.
- Days on chart and peak count from when The Big Hits started tracking a chart.
- If a source doesn't respond, its last good chart stays up with a note giving its date.
The fine print
- Wikipedia's list leaves out the main page and search pages, and covers the latest full day Wikimedia has published.
- Steam's most-played list leaves out games the store can't describe, such as delisted ones.
- YouTube data is deleted after 30 days, as YouTube's developer policies require.
